Insurance
We do NOT accept Insurance, BUT you can use your Out-Of-Network Benefits to cover some or all the costs.
I am considered an out-of-network provider. However, depending on your specific insurance plan, it is possible for services to be covered in part or in full.
For billing your insurance I can provide a monthly bill, known as a Super Bill, that you can use to get reimbursed for services.
Below are suggestions of questions you may want to ask your insurance provider.
Additionally, here is an article that goes over the process.
Benefits Of Seeing an Out-Of-Network Therapist
Insurance companies often mandate a diagnosis or require treatment to be “medically necessary” to be covered. This can result in issues with ethics and integrity of practice.
Paying out of pocket can ensure you are not being diagnosed inappropriately for the sake of insurance.
Additionally, insurance providers can oversee your health records and may require access to your information while in therapy, limiting your confidentiality.
They may also limit the number of sessions you can access each year and/or allow only a narrow option of treatment modalities. For some paying out of pocket is a better fit.
Please feel free to call me to discuss any questions. Here is a great article on some more of the benefits.
